Following on Gary’s weekend in Oporto, I followed up with a sort of rest of the week in Oporto by extending the explorations into the hinterland of the Douro as well.

David has posted up a blog on new discoveries found at the recent Fenavin tasting in Catalunia, with more in the pipeline and part 3 of Kathleen’s History of wine, covering the Roman period, is now on the site.
Our Sancerre wine dinner at The Yacht was a rip roaring success, attending by 25 diners and I’ll be reporting on it in the near future. We are hoping to set up some more vintner dinners and tastings during the autumn – watch this space.
