It’s been a while since I have reported to you what’s going on at Wine behind the label, but that’s because we have been busy working on a new website which will completely overhaul the old one. It should be up and running in two or three weeks, but in the meantime we have been able to put together a few pertinent articles on our current website, for which we apologise for looking a bit messy, but we feel that we shouldn’t delay letting you know about them.
A number of posts on wine news around the world have been put up by our new editorial consultant, Richard Siddle and he will continue to feed us with such news and also to run our Social Media pages. David and I have also been busy attending important tastings and there is a report from me on the Annual New Zealand Tasting and two from the massive Australia Day Tasting by David.
In our 10th edition guide we feature 16 winemakers who we feel deserve more recognition and we report a Question and Answer session with the first of these, Elias Fernandez, of Shafer Vineyards in the Napa Valley as to what makes him tick, wine wise.
Our Guest blogger, Joe Roberts, posts an interesting article on what causes red wine headaches and how you might avoid them.
And last, but certainly not least, our Burgundy contributor and expert, Michael Edwards, gives his verdict on the “superb” 2015 Burgundy vintage.
Do browse through the website and these articles. Once the new website is up and running we will be creating some new initiatives which we hope you will find interesting, educational and exciting.
In the meantime, happy eating, happy drinking and happy travelling.
