Dry Creek Vineyard Dry Creek Valley
Medium-sized winery notable for good, well-priced Fumé Blanc in a very much more herbaceous style than many and a number of rich and impressive Zinfandels. The latter have been produced consistently over a number of vintages and while full and vibrant they are rarely overblown.
With oldvine Zinfandel fruit increasingly in demand throughout the state, Dry Creek has established its own ‘Heritage’ clone, propagated from old-vine cuttings on phylloxera-resistant rootstock. A small quantity of premium Cabernet both a Sailor’s Hill and Endeavour have also been released along with single vineyard Zinfandel from the Dry Creek Valley Spencer’s Hill Vineyard as well as from the Beeson and Somers Ranches.(DM)
