King Estate Winery Willamette Valley
This is now a sizeable operation and the largest producer of Pinot Noir in Oregon. Quality ranges from good to very good and the wines are widely sourced throughout the state. The wines produced include the flagship Domaine and also well-priced Signature labels including a fine luscious icewine style Vin Glacé from estate grown Pinot Gris. Approachable easy drinking styles are labelled Acrobat. A number of low-volume limited release wines are also marketed and include reserves of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. As well as these, Cabernet Sauvignon comes from a number of Oregon’s warmer sites, there is a Late Harvest Riesling and Syrah sourced from the north of the state in the Columbia Valley. The range is completed by a number of vineyard designate Pinot Noirs from a number of vineyards. (DM)
