This wine was established as a partnership between Eduardo Chadwick at ERRÁZURIZ and California’s ROBERT MONDAVI and vies with Clos Apalta from LAPOSTOLLE, ALMAVIVA and others for the accolade of best super-premium red from Chile. Since the takeover of Mondavi by Constellation Eduardo Chadwick has taken sole ownership of the project. It is now marketed alongside Chadwick’s Errazuriz, ARBOLEDA and CALITERRA ranges. Seña is currently a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is sourced from the Seña vineyard a 350 ha property in the western Aconcagua with 42 ha of ideal north facing slopes and high-density vineyard planting. The wine is also now produced biodynamically. It is impressively dense, structured and concentrated. (DM)
