A unique offer for Wine Collectors – Tant Pis!
This unique wine was made in 1995 by a collaboration of two of California’s great winemakers and winegrowers, John Alban of Alban Vineyards and Manfred Krankl of Sine Qua Non. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a magnum of this wine. It is also an opportunity to find the wine away from the auction houses and without the auction sale commission having to be paid.
Personally signed wooden case
My late friend and colleague Neville Blech was the original UK importer for both wineries. As a result he had a small allocation of 4 magnums (2 wooden cases). One of the magnums is now available for offers. The wine is stored in the original wooden case signed by John Alban and his wife Lorraine.
Tant Pis! details
The wine was made as a tribute to the great Jacques Reynard, of Château Rayas, considered one of Châteauneuf-du-Pape’s greatest ever producers. It was made from a 1995 single barrel cuvée of around 60% Grenache from Alban and 40% Syrah from Krankl and was bottled into 148 magnums, sold in cases of two magnums and released in 1999.
Any interested parties should either contact me, David Moore at email@example.com or Sonia Blech at firstname.lastname@example.org and suggest an offer. To give you an idea a magnum is currently offered by Hedonism Wines in London for £19,600.
There is a lovely article by Neville describing the wine and how he last enjoyed one of the magnums. You can read it here.
